Another successful day at Stars & Saints filled with sunshine and smiles!
As we waited for the ice to thaw, the children took part in a variety of team games within the warmth of the hall. One of the games played was Star Wars Dodgeball. In this fast-paced game, one player from each team is selected as the Jedi, which enables them to bring their team mates back into play (back to life). Once the opposing team have sussed out the Jedi, the aim is to get the Jedi out of the game in order to win.
Children enjoyed a picnic style lunch on the mats, before enjoying their free time playing tag games, basketball or just relaxing in the sunshine - I don't blame them! In the afternoon, the football group worked on their dribbling skills before going head to head in a mini-tournament. Meanwhile, the gymnasts group created some spectacular partner balance routines.
Well done to Malachy and Zack, who were the Star and Saint of the day respectively.
Star of the day: Malachy for his impressively accurate throw.
Saint of the day: Zack for being considerate to his younger team mates.
Thank you to all children for their excellent effort and positive attitude.
Thank you to all parents for ensuring your child was fully prepared, collected punctually and your continued supoport.
We hope to see you again at our next camp, which is the second week of the Easter holidays.
